Lock Any Door In The World With EasyLock

Lock Any Door In The World With EasyLock

Security while traveling is fragile and there are many scenarios in which it is almost compromised. This is where a grandfather comes in who has created a lock because he wanted his grandchildren to be safe when they are out traveling. Bob Fitzjohn is 66 years old and resides in London. His invention has been named ‘EasyLock’ and he created it on his kitchen table after he was able to raise £10,000 via IndieGogo.EasyLock5EasyLock2
The gadget weighs less than an iPhone and is capable of securing any kind of door that opens inwards and aims at imparting fool proof security for guests who are using hotels, B&Bs or even beach huts. The working is simple; you need to fasten it across the door’s latch-plate and hook it to the outside of the door-frame. The lock is then placed in alignment with the adjustable handle.
Users are capable of opening the door slightly in order to confirm the identity of visitors and even pass through items that are slim. According to Mr. Fitzjohn, an entrepreneur, he spent a number of hours to draw designs and to come up with prototypes before he launched the online campaign. He has managed to raise £10,500 and has offered the pledgers free units of EasyLock where the number depends upon the amount that has been pledged. EasyLock costs £24.95 and is being advertised as ‘the perfect gift for a travel lover’.EasyLockEasyLock6EasyLock4
In the words of Mr. Fitzjohn, “The design process took months of development and testing. I made a great many sketches by hand and on the computer and I drove the family mad whilst creating functional locks after locks on the kitchen table. My thoughts were with my grandchildren when I designed The EasyLock. One day they’ll be off traveling the world, and I wanted to create a solution that would keep them 100 per cent safe and sound, no matter where they stayed. My thinking in creating the lock developed into wanting to provide complete security to all others who may find themselves in a vulnerable position, be it a student in cheap lodgings, an isolated elderly person who fears living alone, or simply you or I when we stay in a B&B or hotel.”

He also expresses his joy upon the completion of EasyLock and says, “It is a dream come true that TheEasy Lock is now available for the public to purchase. My hope is that TheEasyLock will bring safety and peace of mind to many people, right across the globe.”

Experience Virtual Reality Through Your iPhone 6 Plus

Experience Virtual Reality Through Your iPhone 6 Plus Using This New Headset

Virtual reality headsets have become a fad these days. We all know about the Oculus Rift, but it’s not out in the market just yet. Wouldn’t you just love to play your favorite video game in virtual reality mode? It is possible now with the new technology called AirVR. It is the brainchild of Toronto design company, Metatecture.AirVR2
The AirVR is basically a headset that straps an iPad Mini onto the user’s head. A pair of lenses turns the iPad’s screen into full stereoscopic 3D. By using the headwear along with the already developed AirVR app, your tablet can become the portal to another dimension. There is also an AirVR+ that can be used with the new iPhone 6 plus.AirVR3
The AirVr is pretty easy to use: just slide the iPad mini or iPhone 6 plus into a bulky headset with two lenses displaying left-eye and right-eye images. The company has already developed some apps for the product, and points out that the headset also leaves all the ports on your iOS device open so you can attach other peripherals like games controllers. The best part of this gadget is that there are no cables and tangling to deal with and it’s portable – take it with you everywhere.AirVR4
Attaching headphones through the iPad Mini’s standard headphone port will also allow the sound to be played. Another feature is a “TouchStrip” of buttons on the headset to control AirVR in and out of the virtual reality experience. Unlike other systems, this device does not require a power source in the headset; instead it relies solely on the built-in battery of the iPad mini. To get the real 3D experience, apps and movies need to be developed specifically for such a virtual reality device.AirVR5
Aesthetically speaking, sticking the iPad mini or iPhone 6 Plus directly over face doesn’t offer a pleasant sight. However, for those of you who are curious about virtual reality and don’t have access to an Oculus Rift, this may be a worthy alternative. The company plans to begin selling its AirVR headsets for just $49 in early 2015.
